Teachable and LearnSuite do the same job (sell courses under your own brand), but they start from different ideas. Teachable is a general-purpose platform with a low entry fee. LearnSuite is built for people who teach in several languages, sell in several countries and want to support each student. Here are both, with their numbers, strengths and limits. This is part of the map of online course platforms.
Teachable's figures were read on its official page on 15 October 2026 and are in dollars, as published. LearnSuite's come from our catalogue, in euros. We do not convert them: compare against the currency you actually sell in.
Prices and commissions
| Teachable (USD, 2026-10-15) | LearnSuite (EUR) | |
|---|---|---|
| Entry plan | Starter: 39 a month, 29 on annual billing | Revenue share: no fee and 20% of sales. Starter: €99 a month (monthly only) plus 8%. Professional: €356.40 a month, €297 on annual billing, no commission |
| Middle plan | Builder: 89 a month, 69 annual | Institution: €836.40 a month, €697 annual |
| Top plan | Growth: 189 a month, 139 annual | Enterprise: from €1,990 a month |
| Platform sales commission | 7.5% on Starter; 0% on Builder and Growth if you use Teachable Payments | Revenue share 20%, Starter 8%, Professional and above 0% |
| Payment processing | 2.9% + 0.30 on US cards; 3.9% + 0.30 international; PayPal 3.49% + 0.49 (US) or 4.99% + 0.49 (international); 15 per chargeback | Stripe payments at checkout |
| Trial | 7 days on every plan, plus a 30-day guarantee | 14 days with a card |
| Students | Unlimited on Teachable's checkout | 500 active on Professional, 2000 on Institution |
| Admins | 1 / 1 / 5 | 3 instructors on Professional |
One calculation worth doing by hand: between Starter and Builder (annual billing) there are 40 dollars a month of difference, and the 7.5% commission makes up that gap at around 533 dollars of monthly sales. Above that, Starter costs more. The asterisk on Builder's and Growth's 0% means it only applies with Teachable Payments.

- Global payments and taxes listed on every plan.
- From 5 to 50 products depending on the plan, and unlimited students on its checkout.
Cons
- Starter has a 7.5% commission and 5 products.
- One admin until Growth (5).

LearnSuite: the good and the bad
Pros
- Every lesson has a per-language version and nothing is published without a person reviewing it.
- Protected video with expiring links, watermark and a three-device maximum.
- 1:1 sessions with calendar, reminders and payment inside the academy.
- Certificates with a public verification page on every plan.
- Pricing by zone: the same course at a different price depending on the buyer's country.
Cons
- We have no student mobile app.
- There are also no automated email funnels today: if your sales depend on them, Teachable (or Kajabi) is more mature. Discount coupons do exist.
- With a fee, Starter (€99 a month plus 8%) costs more than Teachable's Starter on a face-value reading, although they are in different currencies; the revenue share lets you start with no fee.
- Pricing by zone and white label with your own domain start at Institution.
- We have less public track record than Teachable.
When to pick Teachable
- You sell mostly to the United States and in dollars.
- You want to start with the lowest fee and see whether your course sells.
- You care about students having an app on their phone.
- Your course is in one language and the price is the same everywhere.
When to pick LearnSuite
- You teach in several languages and want a reviewed version of each lesson instead of redoing the course.
- You sell in countries with very different purchasing power and need pricing by zone.
- Personal support is part of your offer (1:1 sessions).
- Your video is your asset and you want to protect it.
If you are unsure, run the numbers with your real sales (how to price an online course) and look at the LearnSuite plans first. To see how other options fit, go back to the market map.
